1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use UNET.
- If local law requires parental or guardian consent for your age group, you represent that this consent has been obtained.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- To post or view 18+ labeled content, you must be at least 18 years old. By enabling adult content settings, you confirm you meet this requirement.
2. Accounts and Security
- You need a unique username and password to use the authenticated parts of UNET.
- UNET's current login flow uses cryptographic challenge-response. Your password is used on-device and is not sent to the server in plaintext.
- You are responsible for keeping your password, recovery key, device access, and any two-factor authentication secrets secure.
- Account registration may require anti-abuse checks such as hCaptcha and proof-of-work.
- If you use QR authorization for web login, approve only sessions you recognize and expect.
- Contact [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your Content and Settings
You retain ownership of content you create and post on UNET, including text, comments, images, video, and messages you are legally entitled to share. By posting content, you grant UNET a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the service.
You are responsible for what you post and for using account settings honestly. If your account is used for commercial, promotional, or business activity, you must not use the service in a misleading way to disguise that activity.
3.1 Sticker Packs
When you upload stickers to UNET, including stickers you add to a sticker pack, you confirm that you own the stickers or otherwise have all rights, permissions, and consents needed to upload them and to grant the licenses below.
By uploading stickers, you grant UNET a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use those stickers to operate UNET and make them available through the service, including in public sticker catalogs after any applicable review.
If you make a sticker pack public or it is approved for public distribution, you also grant every UNET user a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use those stickers within UNET, including in posts, comments, messages, and other in-app features, for as long as the stickers remain available through the service.
You remain responsible for sticker content you upload. UNET may remove stickers or packs that appear to infringe rights, violate these Terms, or fail moderation review.
4. Prohibited Conduct
4.1 Harmful or Illegal Content
- Do not post illegal content.
- Do not post or promote child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, or any similar material. This results in immediate account termination and may be reported to authorities.
- Do not post credible threats of violence, incitement to violence, terrorism, or targeted physical harm.
- Do not share non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Do not harass, stalk, dox, or intentionally intimidate other people.
- Do not post hate speech or content that attacks protected groups with dehumanizing or violent intent.
4.2 Spam, Deception, and Manipulation
- Impersonation. Do not impersonate another person, organization, or UNET staff. Parody or fan accounts must be clearly labeled.
- Spam. Do not flood the service with repetitive, unsolicited, or automatically generated content.
- Scams and phishing. Do not trick people into revealing passwords, personal data, recovery keys, or payment information.
- Misinformation. Do not knowingly distribute fabricated or manipulated content in a way that can cause real-world harm.
- No boosting or fake engagement. You must not buy, sell, exchange, script, farm, or artificially generate likes, reposts, comments, followers, views, notification actions, or other ranking or engagement signals.
- No recommendation gaming. You must not manipulate the For You feed, recommendation signals, report systems, business-account labeling, or AI-content labeling through deceptive or automated behavior.
4.3 Platform Integrity
- Do not try to bypass security measures, rate limits, CAPTCHA checks, proof-of-work, or other technical protections.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service except where applicable law explicitly allows it.
- Do not scrape, crawl, or access the service with automated tools beyond the intended UI and authorized API surfaces.
- Do not interfere with the service, servers, or networks, including attempts to overload or destabilize them.
- Do not create or reuse multiple accounts to evade bans, restrictions, rate limits, or moderation actions.
4.4 Sensitive and Adult Content
UNET supports content labeling to give users control over what they see. The following rules apply to all versions of the app.
**18+ label (available in all versions)**
You may post content involving partial nudity, suggestive imagery, or mature themes provided it is labeled 18+. This includes artistic nudity, implied sexual content, and content not suitable for minors.
**Regardless of label, the following is never permitted:**
- Sexual content involving minors in any form
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Content depicting real people in sexual situations without their verified consent
- Explicit content involving violence or coercion
**Consent and distribution**
By posting adult content, you confirm that all depicted individuals are adults and that the content was produced and is distributed with their full consent. UNET may remove content that appears to violate this without notice.
5. Moderation and Enforcement
Users can report posts, comments, and profiles through the app. We may review reports, investigate suspected abuse, and enforce these Terms.
Depending on severity and repetition, enforcement may include content removal, warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, and legal referral where required.
Unlabeled adult content of any kind will be removed without warning.
If you believe an action was taken in error, contact [email protected]. We may review appeals, but we are not obligated to reverse decisions.
6. Privacy
Your use of UNET is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how the current app processes account, content, notification, analytics, and security data.
7. Account Termination
7.1 By You
You may delete your account from the app. Deletion is intended to be permanent and irreversible. The current app also includes an optional inactivity-based auto-delete setting that you can enable yourself.
7.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risks, abuse the platform, or harm other users or the service.
8. Fediverse and Federation
UNET can optionally connect to the fediverse using ActivityPub. Federation is something you enable; it is not required to use UNET.
- After you enable federation, profile information, posts, comments, media, follows, likes, and other interactions may be delivered to independent third-party servers that UNET does not own or control.
- Even with a private account, some federated data may still reach remote servers or remote followers depending on who is approved to follow you and how federation delivery works.
- Once content or profile data has been federated, UNET does not control 100% of copies held by other servers.
- If you disable federation or delete your account, we send deletion-related ActivityPub signals (such as Delete / Undo) and otherwise take reasonable steps to inform remote servers. We do not guarantee that every remote server will process those signals or permanently remove copies.
- Direct messages on UNET are available only between UNET accounts. There is no DM interoperability with fediverse / remote accounts.
- Remote servers have their own policies, moderation, retention, and security practices. UNET is not responsible for how those servers store, display, or further redistribute federated data.
9. Service Availability and Changes
10. Intellectual Property
- The UNET name, logo, branding, server infrastructure, and application code remain the property of UNET or its licensors.
- You may not use UNET branding in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or official status without permission.
11. Disclaimers
- The service is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind.
- We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, secure, or error-free.
- We do not guarantee that federated copies of your data will be removed from third-party servers after you disable federation or delete your account.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the product, legal requirements, or safety rules change. Continued use of UNET after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
